AI Agent Engineer

Role Overview

This role involves designing and building advanced AI agents with a focus on market intelligence. The engineer will develop systems for data retrieval and vector search leveraging PostgreSQL and pgvector, and manage AI agent orchestration to maintain conversation context across multiple agents.

Main Responsibilities

• Create AI large language model (LLM) agents specialized in generating market intelligence insights.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation solutions incorporating vector search using PostgreSQL and pgvector.
• Manage conversation context and multi-agent coordination to enable seamless interactions.
• Build FastAPI-based backend services to integrate AI capabilities into front-end applications.
• Design conversational workflows and ensure outputs are grounded in evidence.
• Implement evaluation pipelines including numeric verifications, source tracking, and compliance checks.
• Support deployment on Azure cloud environment, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), system monitoring, and documentation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Python and FastAPI framework.
• Hands-on experience in LLM and agentic AI development.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search techniques, and PostgreSQL with pgvector extension.
• Competency in AI agent orchestration and context management.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation, observability, and compliance processes.
• Knowledge in deploying applications on Azure platform with CI/CD pipelines.
• At least 10 years of software development experience overall.
• 2 to 3 years of practical AI development experience.
• Demonstrated leadership by having led two or more technology or AI project deliveries.
