Role Overview
The Agri Drone Pilot position is a full-time, on-site role located in Andhra Pradesh, India. The pilot will be responsible for operating agricultural drones used for tasks such as spraying, mapping, and crop monitoring while adhering to safety guidelines and regulatory compliance. Daily duties include conducting pre-flight checks, planning flights, executing drone missions, maintaining flight logs, and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting. The pilot will collaborate with field personnel and farmers to ensure precise coverage, optimize drone use for various crops and terrain, assist in training sessions, demonstrate drone usage, and provide feedback to the technical team to enhance drone functionality and field processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hands-on experience piloting multi-rotor or fixed-wing agricultural drones with strong drone piloting expertise.
- Comprehensive understanding of drone and UAV systems encompassing hardware components, battery management, and flight control software.
- Capability to conduct training regarding safe drone usage, field operations, and best practices for colleagues and end users.
- Knowledge of agricultural spraying methods, crop protection, and safety standards is advantageous.
- Excellent spatial awareness, meticulous attention to detail, and compliance with technical and regulatory instructions.
- Comfortable working outdoors in rural regions under varying weather conditions.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with mapping or mission-planning tools are beneficial.
- Preferred: Relevant drone operation certifications or UAV pilot licenses in accordance with local regulations.
