About the Role
Become a key member of the team responsible for managing student admissions at the University of Waikato. This position involves evaluating applications, making admission decisions, assisting with programme planning, and ensuring a clear pathway for student success. The role requires a detailed, process-oriented approach combined with strong critical thinking skills, delivered through excellent customer support.
The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and based at the Hillcrest Campus. The salary range is $73,235 to $87,024 annually, depending on the candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess student applications and make admission decisions following university and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate programme planning to guide students through their enrolment journey.
- Maintain consistent, knowledge-driven decision making that complies with external and internal policies.
- Deliver timely and accurate responses to applicants, enhancing the student experience.
- Identify and implement process and system improvements to meet processing targets and support student enrolment.
- Work collaboratively within the Student Administration Division to provide comprehensive student services.

- Possess sound critical thinking abilities to manage complex decision processes effectively.
- Enjoy varied responsibilities involving both process management and direct customer interaction.
- Work efficiently within tight deadlines while prioritizing excellent customer service.

This role is part of the Admissions Office team within the Student Administration Division, committed to supporting student recruitment, admission, enrolment, and success with a strong focus on the quality of the student experience and innovative practice improvement.
