Job Overview
This role requires overseeing comprehensive administrative and logistical operations within a manufacturing factory to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning and support of production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full charge of daily factory administration and manage logistics including canteen, staff accommodation, cleaning, security, and greening efforts, maintaining order in offices and living areas to facilitate production.
- Oversee procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control for administrative materials; standardize management procedures, control costs rigorously, and maintain thorough documentation.
- Conduct routine safety inspections across water, electrical, fire safety equipment, and common areas, promptly address hazards, and coordinate with local service providers to resolve logistics issues and emergencies.
- Manage distribution of documents, organize filing systems, record meeting minutes, deliver internal notices, regulate access to the factory premises, and standardize internal administrative workflows.
- Collaborate with production scheduling, execute additional administrative responsibilities assigned by superiors, and enforce company policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Administration Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of five years' experience in administration or logistics management within a manufacturing environment; familiarity with production plant administration and prior experience in building materials or ceramics sector is advantageous.
- Well-versed in Zambian legal frameworks, local lifestyle and work customs; willing and able to work on-site.
- Fluent English speaker with strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving competencies; exhibits meticulousness, responsibility, and reliable execution capability.
- Proficient in standard office software applications; maintains a stable employment history and committed to long-term on-site work.
