About the Role and Organisation
This position offers a home-based working arrangement with occasional quarterly visits to Hemel Hempstead headquarters. As a vital member of the TDS Group's Resolution team, the Adjudicator will deliver fair, independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services primarily involving landlords, tenants and agents. TDS Group has been providing tenancy deposit schemes and free dispute resolution services in the UK since 2003, with a culture focused on collaboration, integrity, and customer service excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Make impartial decisions independently across various ADR schemes.
- Examine and interpret complex and voluminous documentary evidence thoroughly.
- Deliver clear, well-reasoned adjudication outcomes promptly within set deadlines.
- Participate actively in mediation and conciliation efforts to facilitate early and effective conflict resolution.
- Support ongoing development and enhancement of ADR service quality and processes.
- Work cooperatively with team members to maintain consistency, quality, and high customer satisfaction standards.
- Serve as a representative of TDS at industry-related events, training, and stakeholder meetings as needed.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possession of an honours degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
- A minimum of three to four years experience in adjudication, complaint handling, dispute resolution, or regulatory roles.
- Highly developed analytical capabilities coupled with strong decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet prescribed deadlines.
- Experience and knowledge in mediation and conciliation methodologies.
- Ability to function autonomously in a remote setting while showing a cooperative team spirit.
