Job description

Overview

Old Dutch Foods Ltd., a leading national manufacturer in the Food & Beverage industry located in Summerside, PEI, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position where the successful candidate will support daily accounts receivable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a designated portfolio of customer accounts ensuring transactions are processed timely and accurately.
  • Monitor customer accounts and aging reports to identify overdue payments and initiate necessary follow-ups.
  • Conduct collections activities via phone and email to secure payments on outstanding invoices.
  • Apply customer payments correctly and resolve unapplied or unidentified cash issues.
  • Handle weekly and monthly billing tasks.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies including deductions, short payments, pricing, credits, and other account-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma is mandatory; post-secondary education or certification in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is advantageous.
  • Between one and two years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a significant asset valued during recruitment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize various tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency for data analysis and reconciliation purposes.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary is approximately $45,000 and varies based on qualifications. Following a probation period, employees become eligible for medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits, group RRSP plans, and paid vacation starting in the first year.

Additional Details

The anticipated start date is either October 5 or October 13, 2026. The application deadline for this position is September 16, 2026.
