Role Overview
Corpay is seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our Accounting & Finance division in Auckland as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position focuses on processing Business Fuel Card and Cardlink supplier invoices, managing merchant accounts, handling payables and queries, and ensuring timely and accurate staff payments. As a key team member of our finance department, you will help maintain smooth financial operations and uphold the financial integrity of the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Verify, review, and process vendor, supplier, and service provider invoices for Australian and New Zealand accounts, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies.
- Manage payment batches, including electronic funds transfers and other payment methods in coordination with the finance team to guarantee timely payments.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors by addressing inquiries, resolving payment discrepancies, and managing concerns.
- Reconcile vendor statements and related accounts to confirm transaction accuracy and resolve any discrepancies; assist with timely month-end close procedures.
- Organise and update accurate documentation of invoices, payments, and relevant records to meet audit standards.
- Generate and analyse accounts payable reports such as aging and creditor balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify and support initiatives to improve accounts payable processes and implement best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts payable, finance administration, or support roles across multiple business entities in New Zealand and Australia.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to financial accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate with keyboarding skills; prior experience in payments or banking office environments is a plus.

- Hybrid working arrangement with an assigned workspace at the Ellerslie office.
- Company-provided equipment and formal hands-on training to facilitate success in the role.
