Accounting Office Manager

Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing all store monetary resources through precise handling of cash and maintaining accurate financial records to uphold financial accuracy and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the correct amount of currency in the accounting office at opening, following final deposits, and before closing the office each day. Perform calibration of the teller mate machine weekly or as needed.
• Oversee management of all store cash assets including cash registers, ATMs, self-checkout stations, and vending machines.
• Control cash movement by processing register bags, preparing deposits for armored car pickup, and reconciling daily business transactions.
• Identify, prepare, organize, and separate financial documentation and logs, distributing relevant information to appropriate personnel. Perform research and dispute chargebacks and reconcile journal accounts.
• Report any cash shortages to the District Loss Prevention Manager (DLPM) and company management as per guidelines.
• Observe the area for any indicators of shrinkage or security threats and promptly notify management and Loss Prevention team.
• Ensure that the safe is locked securely when the cash office is unattended, apply the day lock while working within the cash office, and maintain a safe and secure environment in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Additional Information

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.65.
