Accounting Office Manager

Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing all store cash management functions to maintain financial accountability and security within the Accounting Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the correct amount of currency in the Accounting Office at opening, after the final deposit, and prior to closing daily, and perform weekly calibration of the teller mate machine as needed.
• Supervise all store cash assets, including cash registers, ATMs, self-checkouts, and vending machines.
• Control cash flow by processing register deposits for armored car pickup and reconcile daily business transactions.
• Prepare, organize, and separate financial documentation and distribute pertinent reports to designated staff, including investigating and disputing chargebacks and reconciling journal accounts.
• Report any cash shortages to the Department Lead for Performance Management (DLPM) and management according to guidelines.
• Monitor the workspace to detect shrinkage and possible security threats, notifying management and Loss Prevention as necessary.
• Ensure the safe is securely locked whenever the cash office is unattended and maintain a safe working environment aligned with company policies.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.05.

Minimum Qualification

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
