Accounting Manager, Tokenized Equities

As a remote-first company with quarterly in-person sessions, we seek an accomplished Accounting Manager for our Tokenized Equities product from the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), regulated by the FSRA. This product simplifies stock and ETF token purchases for non-US residents without requiring brokerage accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement the comprehensive accounting framework for token issuance, redemption, asset monitoring, intercompany transactions, and month-end close procedures.
• Oversee compliance with FSRA regulations, managing regulator interactions, maintaining a robust and efficient reporting system, and addressing ad hoc inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Treasury, FP&A, and Finance Data to ensure accurate, scalable, and well-controlled financial processes.
• Authorize fund flows, posting criteria, account configuration, ledger architecture, reconciliations, and reporting prior to product launch.
• Conduct accounting research and analysis for new financial instruments under US GAAP and IFRS, such as dividends and stock splits, including balance sheet implications.
• Develop and maintain the financial reporting structures for the issuer, incorporating audited IFRS annual financial statements, local regulatory filings, and audit coordination.
• Establish a control framework for the regulated launch, ensuring audit trails, data integrity, and harmonization between on-chain and off-chain systems.
• Identify and assign ownership to risks related to accounting, controls, and reporting with proactive mitigation strategies.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA or CA are highly desirable.
• Extensive finance or accounting experience within regulated industries like capital markets, broker-dealers, exchanges, custody services, clearing, or digital assets.
• Hands-on experience interacting with financial regulators through examinations, filings, or inquiries.
• Demonstrated ability to apply complex accounting standards to innovative financial products.
• Proven track record of creating finance processes aligned with new products, entities, or regulatory frameworks.
• A strong emphasis on internal controls and experience shaping financial systems pre-launch.
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability in dynamic, uncertain environments.
• Knowledge of FSRA regulations and frameworks relevant to the product.
• Competence in responsibly leveraging generative AI technologies (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) as part of daily workflows, continuously improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while applying human oversight.

Compensation and Terms

The targeted annual base salary range is 503500 to 530000 AED, excluding potential equity, bonuses, and benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage.
