Accountant

About the Role

Akshar International, a chemical manufacturing company based in Mira Road (East), Mumbai, seeks a meticulous and experienced Accountant to oversee daily financial operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing purchase and sales accounting, vendor and customer payment processing, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting entries involving purchases, sales, expenses, and receipts.
• Process payments for vendors and customers promptly.
• Record and reconcile purchase and sales invoices using Tally or ERP systems.
• Conduct GST input/output reconciliation and record TDS entries to ensure adherence to statutory guidelines.
• Maintain detailed ledgers for debtors and creditors, including following up on payments and outstanding amounts.
• Assist with monthly MIS report generation, preparation of balance sheets, and financial statements.
• Ensure organized filing and record-keeping of all financial documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Tally accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of tax regulations applicable in the industry.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and adhere to deadlines within a dynamic work environment.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance and sustainability reporting is advantageous.

Working Schedule and Conditions

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.
