Job Overview
The Accountant is responsible for handling daily banking and payment operations, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of payments for local vendors, international suppliers, employees, and government entities. This role also supports cash management, recording transactions in SAP, managing bank charges, fixed assets, and ensuring compliance with VAT and WHT regulations in alignment with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily bank transfers and payment processing for diverse stakeholders including local and foreign vendors, employees, government agencies, and related companies.
- Ensure timely and precise execution of all payments and monitor schedules to avoid delays.
- Communicate with consultants and internal teams to confirm on-time payment settlements.
- Review payment-related communications and coordinate follow-ups to prevent delays.
- Prepare and distribute payment confirmations and documentation to relevant parties.
- Manage foreign currency payments to automotive OEMs, applying correct exchange rates for USD and EUR invoices.
- Identify, document, and allocate bank charges regarding Letters of Credit and bank guarantees to corresponding business units.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure collection of original L/C documents for port clearance.
- Process salary payments including employee loans and advances for company staff monthly.
- Handle donations and associated transactions, recording them accurately in SAP.
- Verify and process utility payments such as SADAD, electricity, water, and telephone bills, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support cash handling procedures and reconcile cash daily.
- Manage accounting entries and payments related to customs duties and other SADAD transactions.
- Process monthly VAT and withholding tax payments and submit related templates to the Zakat and Tax Department timely.
- Maintain fixed asset records within SAP and accurate accounting entries for all financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements for all finance-related operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, treasury, accounts payable, or financial operations.
- Practical knowledge of banking processes, payment handling, and SAP software.
- Experience managing both local and foreign currency payments is beneficial.
- Understanding of VAT, withholding tax, SADAD payment systems, Letters of Credit, and bank guarantees preferred.
