Accountant - General Ledger

Job Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, reconciling designated accounts, and resolving any discrepancies between supplier and customer accounts. The position also involves preparing periodic financial closings on monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual intervals.

Primary Duties

• Provide financial insights to management through detailed research and analysis of accounting data and report preparation.
• Prepare entries for asset, liability, and capital accounts by gathering and reviewing account details.
• Record financial transactions accurately by inputting account information.
• Advise on financial decisions by evaluating different accounting options.
• Aggregate current financial conditions by compiling data and producing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and related reports.
• Confirm financial transactions by auditing related documents.
• Establish and uphold accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls.
• Resolve financial discrepancies through thorough collection and analysis of account information.
• Ensure security of financial data by performing database backups.
• Maintain financial integrity by adhering to internal controls.
• Verify payment documentation and initiate disbursements appropriately.
• Address queries related to accounting procedures by interpreting relevant policies and regulations.
• Create specialized financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account trends.
• Preserve confidentiality and operational security by safeguarding financial information.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience ranging from no prior experience up to two years.

Key Skills and Abilities

• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages for communication.
• Good computer literacy.
