Accountant

Position Overview

Mina Excellence is looking for a seasoned Accountant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role demands deep expertise in Odoo ERP, comprehensive accounting operations, reconciliations, finalizing accounts, and adherence to Saudi VAT and ZATCA regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting tasks through Odoo ERP, managing transaction processing, general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
• Execute intricate and high-volume reconciliations for customers, vendors, and bank accounts.
• Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and necessary adjustments.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closings along with finalizing accounts.
• Compile trial balances, financial schedules, and related documents supporting the financial statements.
• Manage VAT transactions, VAT reporting, and prepare tax invoices in strict compliance with ZATCA guidelines.
• Assist with audit preparations by readying supporting documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
• Produce accounting and financial reports coupled with detailed reconciliation analyses.
• Investigate discrepancies in accounts, diagnose underlying issues, and resolve complex challenges independently.
• Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation techniques for in-depth accounting analysis.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (minimum 4-year degree or recognized equivalent).
• At least three years of hands-on accounting experience within Saudi Arabia.
• A minimum of three years' direct experience using Odoo ERP specifically for accounting or finance purposes — mandatory.
• IFRS certification with a strong grasp of accounting principles.
• Proficient in general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, account finalization, and financial reporting.
• Expertise in conducting complex reconciliations involving customers, vendors, and banks.
• In-depth understanding of VAT, ZATCA requirements, VAT reporting, and Saudi tax invoice regulations.
• Experience supporting monthly/year-end closing procedures and audit processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including sophisticated formulas, Pivot Tables, and lookup functions.
• Capability to independently analyze and correct accounting discrepancies.
• Verification of all academic and professional certifications is required.
• Membership or registration with SOCPA is a valuable additional qualification.
