Role Overview
We seek an Account Manager with 3-5 years of experience in relationship or account management, preferably within dairy farming or the agriculture sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, a positive and collaborative mindset, and thrive in a fast-paced autonomous environment. This position is based in Northern Victoria with significant travel across the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage retention, renewal, and revenue expansion targets for Halter’s customer base in the region.
- Ensure farmers fully utilize Halter’s system to maximize farming performance and understand its impact.
- Handle account renewals and augment existing customer revenue by adding consistent value aligned with on-farm objectives.
- Support deployment, onboarding, training, and implementation to guarantee effective usage across farm staff.
- Build and maintain trusting, genuine relationships with farmers and their teams.
- Partner strategically with customers to define business goals, priorities, timelines, and success metrics.
- Provide timely, expert support resolving technical and operational challenges.
- Represent Halter locally by leading discussion groups and growing community networks.
- Advocate for customers internally by relaying precise feedback and insights to product teams.
- Collaborate with product groups to offer technical advice on reproduction, pasture, and agronomy from a farmer’s perspective.
- Contribute positively to the team culture, embodying and modeling Halter’s core operating principles.
Candidate Profile
- Three to five years' relevant experience in account or relationship management.
- Prior involvement in agriculture, particularly dairy farming, with an enthusiasm for supporting farmer success.
- Excellent business understanding combined with a proactive and cooperative attitude.
- Ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, managing work autonomously.
- Strong motivation for personal achievement and growth, eager to evolve within an elite team environment.
