Job description
Role Overview
The Account Executive will focus on client retention and growth by establishing trust-based relationships with C-Level executives and their teams. This role requires understanding clients' mission-critical priorities and ensuring they receive the expected value from Gartner's offerings while identifying opportunities for enhanced service delivery through alternative products.
Account Executives manage a designated territory of Large Enterprise clients, specifically those with over $1 billion in annual revenue in the End-User Large Enterprise segment, and over $500 million annual revenue clients in the Tech Vendor Large Enterprise segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure current clients derive maximum value from Gartner services and maintain strong relationships.
- Identify and develop opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to promote client growth.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified sales prospects to meet or exceed sales KPIs.
- Be accountable for meeting quota targets within the assigned territory.
- Manage sophisticated, high-value sales transactions across multidimensional and diverse business environments.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and account planning activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 8 years or more of B2B sales experience, preferably handling complex and intangible offerings.
- Demonstrated success in selling to or influencing senior executives at the C-Level.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals.
- Expertise in managing, owning, and forecasting complex sales processes.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
