Job description

About Pemo

Pemo is a spend management platform serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the MENA region, headquartered in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The platform offers finance teams integrated solutions including corporate cards, expense automation, bill payments, and accounting integrations. Backed by over $18 million from leading investors and recognized in Forbes Middle East Top 50, Pemo is rapidly scaling from $10 million ARR towards $100 million ARR. This role is critical to supporting that growth trajectory.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Account Executive based in Dubai to secure new business from SMEs and mid-market companies in the UAE. This full-cycle AE role requires self-driven pipeline generation and ownership through all sales stages—from discovery and demonstrations, proposal preparation, negotiation, to closing contracts. While inbound leads form the initial base, this position emphasizes building robust outbound prospecting capabilities. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will collaborate with a Business Development Representative (BDR) team that also assists in meeting generation.

We aim to build a streamlined, high-output sales team. We value individuals capable of delivering significant results with minimal supervision rather than those needing constant support or largely dependent on warm leads. This environment offers true accountability, competitive compensation aligned with outcomes, and a commitment to operate with US SaaS enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve new annual recurring revenue (ARR) targets by managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Develop and qualify your sales pipeline principally through proactive outbound activities, including calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach, supplementing inbound inquiries and BDR-scheduled meetings.
  • Conduct discovery sessions and live demos for two buyer profiles: SME founders or owners managing their finances, and finance executives such as CFOs or finance controllers in larger organizations.
  • Successfully compete with regional fintech competitors such as Alaan, Qashio, Pluto, and Mamo by negotiating pricing and contract terms within authorized guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the HubSpot CRM to provide reliable sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate smoothly with Customer Success teams to ensure swift onboarding and activation of new customers, and relay actionable market insights back to Product and Marketing teams.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a closing sales role within B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services sectors, targeting SMEs or mid-market firms.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with demonstrable deal-by-deal achievements.
  • Solid outbound sales proficiency, having independently sourced and closed business, not solely reliant on inbound leads.
  • Familiarity with the UAE market and its business landscape.
  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Disciplined CRM usage and integrity in sales forecasting practices.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Additional languages such as Arabic, Hindi/Urdu, Tagalog, Russian, or other common UAE languages are advantageous.
  • Experience selling to finance department buyers or in spend management, corporate card, payments, or expense management software sectors.
  • Knowledge of structured sales methodologies such as SPICED.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and data enrichment tools like Clay and FullEnrich, with a savvy approach to AI-driven sales messaging that emphasizes personalized communication.
  • An established network of UAE-based founders or financial decision-makers is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped incentives, remunerated in AED.
  • Health insurance coverage extending to dependants.
  • Hybrid working arrangements at DIFC Dubai, offering flexible work hours and freedom to take leave as needed.
  • Access to one of the region’s top sales organizations, featuring comprehensive coaching, weekly call reviews, deal strategy sessions, and pipeline management support to accelerate your professional development.
  • Opportunity to play a high-impact, early sales role contributing to Pemo’s expansion from $10M to $100M ARR.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial 30-minute discussion with HR.
  • Detailed 60-minute interview with the CRO.
  • Mock discovery and demonstration session conducted before a panel.
  • Final interview round with the CEO.
  • Job offer extended to successful candidates.

Additional Information

The hiring process is swift for the ideal candidate. Pemo is committed to equal opportunity employment.
