Role Overview

The Account Director will play a key role in maintaining and expanding strategic customer relationships within the utilities sector, working onsite in Perth, Australia. This involves partnering with Client Managers and senior commercial leaders to ensure excellent service delivery, support account growth, and help customers maximize value from Gentrack’s solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily interactions with assigned customer accounts.
  • Develop strong relationships with operational and mid-level stakeholders.
  • Support account planning, customer success initiatives, and governance activities.
  • Coordinate efforts across Product, Delivery, and Support teams to meet customer objectives.
  • Assist with contract renewals, sales forecasting, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Encourage customer adoption and engagement with Gentrack technologies.
  • Proactively handle issues, risks, and escalations.
  • Maintain precise account plans, action items, and customer insights.
  • Identify and advance new commercial opportunities.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in account management, client executive roles, or customer-facing commercial positions.
  • Background in the energy, utilities, or water sectors preferred.
  • Understanding of complex, regulated customer environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn and progress professionally.
