Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Director based in Ireland to lead and expand a portfolio of strategically significant enterprise clients within a global creative services context. You will oversee relationships from initial engagement through to delivery, renewal, and growth by combining strategic account oversight with commercial development. This position operates at the confluence of customer strategy, execution, and long-term partnership management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end relationships for 5–10 enterprise customers, focusing on retention, expansion, and building trust at the executive level.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans to identify opportunities for upgrades, expansion, and sustained growth.
  • Lead contract renewal processes and commercial negotiations alongside leadership.
  • Foster strong partnerships with senior client stakeholders and procurement departments.
  • Convert client goals and business challenges into scalable creative solutions and programs.
  • Work with Project Managers and Producers to coordinate delivery across various workflows, ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Act as the primary escalation contact for complex client issues, resolving them promptly to maintain confidence.
  • Track account health indicators such as burn rates, pacing, performance, and profitability within assigned portfolios.
  • Build ROI-driven business cases demonstrating the value and impact of proposed solutions.
  • Identify and leverage AI and automation to enhance client results, operational efficiency, and delivery quality.
  • Coach and mentor Project Managers and Producers to elevate delivery standards and client relationship management.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Product, and Operations teams to align resource allocation, priorities, and execution with client needs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Between 5 and 10+ years of experience in account management or client services within creative, marketing, digital, or similar sectors.
  • At least 3–5 years in a senior account leadership role such as Senior Account Manager, Group Account Manager, or Account Director.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing enterprise or high-value global customer accounts.
  • Strong commercial insight with experience in ownership or contribution to revenue growth, retention, and account expansion targets.
  • Experience working with clients in enterprise, SaaS, direct-to-consumer (D2C), or B2B environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and navigate complex organizational and procurement structures.
  • Leadership experience including coaching and development of cross-functional teams.
  • Operational focus with ability to scale delivery while maintaining quality, satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Skill at translating broad business goals into actionable solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder relationship management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and solution-driven approach to managing complex accounts and competing priorities.
  • Capability to effectively work in fully remote settings across multiple time zones and cultures.
