Job description

About The Team

OpenAI's Enterprise Go-To-Market (GTM) team assists major global companies in integrating and expanding our AI solutions, including ChatGPT Enterprise and developer APIs, into their operations. Our focus industries include Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Retail, working with clients to innovate AI-driven customer experiences, optimize workflows, and pioneer new operational models within intricate and regulated sectors. As initiatives evolve from pilot stages to larger deployments, our team facilitates this growth by advancing enterprise-wide adoption.

About The Role

This position is designed to be a stepping stone toward developing future sales leaders at OpenAI. It offers exposure to enterprise sales, product engagement, and customer strategy, cultivating competencies in discovery, stakeholder analysis, deal structuring, and executive-level communication, alongside an in-depth understanding of AI adoption in prominent companies.

We seek candidates with 4 to 6+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 to 3 years executing comprehensive sales cycles. Successful individuals often progress to roles such as Account Director or broader GTM leadership positions based on merit and organizational requirements.

This role involves identifying, shaping, and advancing complex enterprise opportunities by leveraging product usage, pilot projects, and inbound interest to generate high-confidence leads for our Large Enterprise and Strategic Accounts divisions. The position is based in Dublin, Ireland, following a hybrid working model requiring three office days weekly, with relocation assistance available. Fluency in German and English is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Directors to develop account strategies, execute multi-threading, and drive deal progression.
  • Develop and implement targeted outbound campaigns drawing on industry knowledge, stakeholder mapping, and product signals to penetrate key accounts.
  • Conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand client business priorities, identify stakeholders, and assess organizational readiness.
  • Participate in pipeline reviews by sharing updates on outbound activities, insights into accounts, and early competitive intelligence.
  • Design and enhance AI-enabled GTM workflows (e.g., GPTs, agents) to increase efficiency in prospecting and qualification processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Possesses over 4 years of relevant experience in enterprise sales or strategic client-facing roles within finance or consultancy sectors.
  • Demonstrates a history of consistently achieving or exceeding aggressive enterprise or strategic sales targets.
  • Experience engaging with regulated or technically sophisticated industries such as Financial Services, Life Sciences, or Retail.
  • Strong communication skills with executive presence, capable of building trust with senior C-suite stakeholders and technical buyers alike.
  • Keen interest in AI technologies, capable of linking OpenAI solutions to tangible customer benefits and business outcomes.
  • Passionate about promoting new technologies and educating the market about potential innovations.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, working swiftly, and exercising significant ownership over responsibilities.
