Role Overview

The Accommodation Porter plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming first impression by assisting guests with their belongings and guiding them to their rooms while providing exceptional customer service. This role collaborates closely with the front desk and housekeeping teams to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay.

Key Duties

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling.
• Escort guests to their designated rooms, explaining the amenities and features available.
• Address guest questions and offer information pertaining to the accommodation and local attractions.
• Assist with special guest requests including room service and arranging transportation.
• Maintain neatness and tidiness in the lobby, entrance, and shared spaces.
• Support housekeeping by stripping beds, cleaning rooms, and transporting laundry to designated pantries.
• Manage stocking and clearing duties within the pantries.
• Deliver guest amenities directly to rooms as required.
• Coordinate with front desk personnel to facilitate smooth check-ins and check-outs.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide superior customer service to enhance the guest experience.
• Execute additional tasks as delegated by the Accommodation Supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Must have completed Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably within hospitality roles.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal capabilities to effectively engage with guests, staff, and supervisors.
• Possess good knowledge of the local region and nearby points of interest.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Display a customer-focused mindset with enthusiasm to exceed guest expectations.
