Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Access Field Manager will execute access strategies at both regional and hospital levels, ensuring effective implementation of priority product plans. This involves translating broad national and therapeutic area strategies into actionable initiatives, identifying and addressing access barriers, and closely monitoring access conditions such as listings and pricing at key accounts. Protecting agreed price points and product positioning are essential parts of the role.
Engagement and relationship management are critical as the manager will build and nurture trusted partnerships with various stakeholders including hospitals, regional health authorities, payers, wholesalers, and distributors. Mapping decision-makers and influence channels is necessary to effectively represent the organization in negotiations and access discussions while gathering insights to inform evolving strategies.
Additional duties include leading or supporting negotiation processes, contributing to tendering and contracting in partnership with the Pricing & Access Contracting team, driving formulary inclusions and reimbursement outcomes, and supporting early access schemes when relevant.
Cross-functional collaboration is integral, involving close coordination with Therapeutic Area Access Strategy, Medical, Commercial, HEOR/HTA, Execution Excellence, and Public Affairs teams to align field actions with launch, lifecycle, and healthcare system readiness plans.
Monitoring, reporting, and compliance activities include maintaining up-to-date account data and activities in CRM systems, tracking key performance indicators alongside local teams, reporting adverse events and technical complaints promptly, and ensuring all activities comply with SOPs, company policies, and local regulations.
