Job Overview
Join our security team as an Access Control and Dispatch Officer responsible for safeguarding client premises, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and property. This role requires prior dispatch experience and involves managing entry access, monitoring premises, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage facility access by issuing and rescinding client site badges and screening all entrants efficiently.
- Maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, using CCTV, and operating access devices to prevent unauthorized access.
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with employees, visitors, and vendors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare detailed logs and reports documenting security operations, incidents, and routine activities accurately.
- Serve as a backup Dispatcher, handling emergency calls, dispatching appropriate resources, and multitasking effectively.
- Inspect for safety hazards, security violations, and report suspicious activities to supervisors or authorities as needed.
- Maintain compliance with client policies, observe safety protocols, and perform other assigned duties related to site security.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years old and successfully pass lifetime background checks and drug testing.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Previous dispatch experience is essential.
- Professional attire required; visible body piercings or tattoos must be approved.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and professionalism are required.
- Ability to use computers and learn new software along with telephone communication skills.
- Effective team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to write routine reports.
- Capacity to maintain composure under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and physical activities including occasional lifting over 70 pounds.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments requiring protective gear.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, including confronting unauthorized individuals.
- Must meet all licensing requirements and ability to work overtime as required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from $19.10 to $19.46.
- $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.
- Various shift options, including rotating shifts from 5:00am-5:00pm and 5:00pm-5:00am.

Minimum education
