About the Role
Anabolic Mechanics is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to take on the role of a 3D Modeling and 3D Printer Operator. This part-time opportunity is ideal for current students enthusiastic about hands-on experience with 3D design, prototyping, and additive manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and adjust 3D models suitable for prototyping and manufacturing purposes.
- Prepare models for printing by slicing and configuring print settings.
- Operate and closely monitor 3D printing equipment throughout the production process.
- Handle printer calibration, setup, cleaning, and routine basic maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve issues causing print failures to enhance print quality.
- Carry out essential post-processing and finishing procedures on printed items.
Qualifications
- Practical experience with 3D modeling and CAD software.
- Familiarity with operating various types of 3D printers.
- Knowledge of slicing software and print preparation techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and printing inconsistencies.
- Comfortable handling tools, machines, and physical prototype work.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with software like Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, Rhino, or equivalent tools.
- Experience working with FDM/FFF 3D printing technologies.
- A portfolio showcasing previous projects in 3D modeling and printing is advantageous.
