CAD Designer

Overview

The role involves designing intricate 3D jewellery models using advanced CAD software tools. Candidates will transform initial sketches and concepts into precise, production-ready digital models suitable for manufacturing.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of jewellery pieces employing software like Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or equivalent platforms.
• Translate basic sketches or conceptual designs into detailed and manufacturable CAD files.
• Support senior designers in activities such as modelling refinements, stone placements, and technical corrections.
• Develop complex jewellery designs while reviewing and guiding junior designers to ensure production quality.
• Focus on meticulous details including stone setting, weight distribution, proportion optimization, and manufacturability considerations.
• Construct accurate 3D representations from various sources, such as sketches, photos, or real samples.
• Prepare finalized design files compatible with casting or 3D printing processes.
• Collaborate with production departments including casting, setting, polishing, and finishing to ensure seamless manufacturing workflow.
• Occasionally produce high-quality renders for client presentations or catalogues.

Suitable for fresh graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of relevant experience in jewellery CAD design.
