Role Overview
Speedy Hire, the UK’s foremost provider of tool and specialist hire equipment, is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to operate a 3.5 ton flatbed van in Basildon. This role involves delivering hire equipment in the local area, serving as a key representative of Speedy's values and mission.
Working Hours and Location
The position is full-time with flexible working hours available, including job shares and amended schedules to support work-life balance. Standard working days are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 42 hours each week.
Candidate Profile
- Must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Have a strong familiarity with the local area.
- Bring a customer-centric approach to your work.
- Possess prior driving experience within the UK.
- Demonstrate capacity to contribute to the company’s ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
- Self-driven, positive attitude with an outgoing personality.
- Comfortable with being outdoors and walking for extended periods regardless of weather conditions.
