Role Overview
Join a pharmacy team as a Dispenser to assist pharmacists and healthcare professionals in providing safe, efficient pharmaceutical and health services within the store. This role involves engaging with patients to understand their needs, dispensing prescriptions accurately, advising on medicine use, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations to support patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions while maintaining medicine safety, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
- Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
- Advise patients concerning medicines, referring queries to pharmacists when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe and lawful dispensing.
- Stay informed about store innovations and follow operational processes.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions through reliable repeats and promote medicine adherence to minimize waste.
- Utilize advancing store technologies to enhance dispensing procedures and patient safety, freeing time for patient engagement.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, or currently pursuing an MPharm with at least one year completed.
- Valid UK right to work is mandatory; no Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship available.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
