Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of interior and modular furniture projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budget constraints, quality standards, and client satisfaction. The role involves close coordination with clients, designers, sales, production teams, vendors, and site personnel to guarantee seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for all assigned projects from handover through to completion, including detailed project planning and timeline development.
• Review and analyze approved designs, quotations, bills of quantities (BOQ), and project scopes to establish a clear execution plan.
• Schedule and oversee measurement, material procurement, production, delivery, installation, finishing, and project handover phases.
• Serve as the client’s primary contact during execution, conducting regular meetings and site visits to update progress and address concerns promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with multiple internal departments such as Sales, Design, Site In-charge, Production, Procurement, and Accounts, as well as external vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct frequent site inspections to monitor manpower, sequence of work, installation quality, safety, housekeeping, and timely problem resolution.
• Manage material requirements in accordance with project timelines, ensuring timely procurement and minimal wastage.
• Implement rigorous quality control checks at all stages, identify defects, facilitate rectifications, and ensure final approvals before handover.
• Track and maintain project schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays and escalating critical issues to management.
• Control costs by monitoring expenditures against approved budgets, authorizing additional work only with proper approvals, and supporting accounts in client payment collections.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including handover forms, approved drawings, BOQs, measurements, schedules, material statuses, progress reports, client approvals, change requests, photos, snag lists, and completion paperwork, updating project management systems regularly.

Performance Metrics

Success will be measured by timely project completion, adherence to budget and quality standards, client satisfaction, manpower productivity, minimization of material wastage, prompt snag resolution, accurate documentation, timely payment coordination, and effective team management.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Technical expertise in project planning, execution, interior and modular furniture knowledge, BOQ comprehension, site measurement, vendor management, and quality control.
• Familiarity with civil, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry basics.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, project management software, CRM systems, and basic understanding of AutoCAD and MS Office or Google Workspace; experience with Dzylo or similar tools is advantageous.
• Strong ownership, accountability, client handling, leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making skills, and ability to work under pressure and multitask.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields is preferred. Candidates should have 3 to 7 years of relevant experience handling interior projects, modular furniture, residential or commercial interiors, construction, fit-out projects, or furniture installation. Practical site execution experience is valued.

Additional Information

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, controlling, resolving issues, completing, and handing over projects. Immediate escalation to management is required for significant timeline risks, client disputes, quality problems, cost overruns, material or manpower shortages, vendor failures, scope alterations, and payment risks. This role demands a proactive, hands-on approach ensuring that the right design, materials, execution, quality, and timing align to achieve client satisfaction.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a monthly salary ranging from 15000 to 30000 INR.
