Job description
Role Overview
Join Management Solutions International in Doha as a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager responsible for fostering and expanding relationships with large corporate and semi-government clients. The role involves enhancing financing, deposits, fee income, and overall profitability, all while upholding strong credit quality, regulatory standards, and Sharia principles.
Key Duties
- Serve as the main contact managing a portfolio of large and strategic corporate clients.
- Develop strong relationships with top executives such as CEOs, CFOs, and Treasurers.
- Gain deep understanding of clients’ businesses, financial conditions, and funding needs.
- Conduct routine visits and comprehensive relationship evaluations.
- Ensure exceptional service and coordinated internal communication.
- Secure new clients and expand wallet share particularly in financing, deposits, trade finance, cash management, and treasury services.
- Cross-sell banking products and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective deals.
- Demonstrate expertise in various corporate financing areas including working capital finance, Murabaha/Tawarruq, project and contract finance, real estate financing, trade finance instruments like LC and bank guarantees, syndicated loans, and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with departments like Credit, Risk, Legal, Sharia, Treasury, and Operations to structure and implement transactions.
- Evaluate financial documents for creditworthiness, prepare proposals and monitor ongoing portfolio performance including risk management and compliance.
- Manage portfolio profitability, facility maturity schedules, collateral and negotiate pricing to protect the bank's interests.
- Ensure all procedures adhere to Central Bank regulations, AML/KYC policies, internal credit rules, and Sharia requirements.
- Coordinate across multiple internal teams throughout the lifecycle of transactions, from initiation to closing.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 10 to 15 years of extensive experience predominantly in Corporate or Large Corporate Banking.
- Substantial experience handling complex corporate relationships and financing arrangements.
- Strong capabilities in credit analysis, crafting detailed credit proposals, and managing large-ticket corporate financing such as syndicated loans, project finance, and structured deals.
- Proficiency in corporate financial analysis, modeling, cash flow assessment, trade finance, pricing strategy, and driving profitability.
- Experience in Qatar or GCC banking sectors, preferably with Islamic banking expertise.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates from Qatar or GCC banks, especially those with Islamic banking background.
- Applicants bringing significant portfolios in large corporate banking and complex financing solutions.
