Their platform leverages soil diagnostics, crop intelligence, satellite data, and digital advisory tools to facilitate better agricultural decisions.

The internship involves working within the Soil Doctor ecosystem that encompasses multiple digital products such as farmer mobile apps, soil clinic applications, agri-retailer advisory systems, soil testing interfaces, crop monitoring tools, farm intelligence dashboards, and multilingual rural user products.

Internship Role and Responsibilities

The UI/UX Design Intern will play a key role in transforming intricate agricultural information into clear, engaging, and user-friendly interfaces. This is a practical product design position rather than solely graphic design.

• Design mobile-first applications aimed at farmers.
• Translate soil test reports into visually understandable formats.
• Develop dashboards for crop health and farm monitoring.
• Present satellite data in a way comprehensible to non-technical users by avoiding jargon like NDVI, NDMI, NDRE.
• Create interfaces accessible to farmers with limited digital literacy.
• Design advisory tools targeted at agri-retailer shop owners.
• Build soil testing workflows designed for field operators.
• Implement farm maps and geolocation-based user experiences.
• Construct alert, recommendation, and advisory interfaces that drive actionable insights.
• Visualize trends and historical agricultural data effectively.
• Develop multilingual user interfaces.
• Design onboarding and guided workflows for users.
• Enhance navigation throughout complex applications.
• Create scalable design systems and reusable components.
• Produce responsive layouts adaptable for web, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure precise design implementation.

Candidate Eligibility

Applicants must be available for a full-time, in-office internship beginning between September 21, 2026, and October 26, 2026, with a commitment to the full six-month duration. Candidates should possess relevant UI/UX design skills and a genuine interest in agricultural technology.

Skills & Qualities Required

• Strong visual design foundation, including attention to typography, spacing, alignment, and consistency.
• Ability to deeply consider user needs prior to interface design.
• Capability to simplify complex workflows and adhere to information hierarchy principles.
• Competency in mobile-first design and responsive layouts.
• Experience in building wireframes, interactive prototypes, and intuitive navigation structures.
• Understanding of user flows, interaction design, and handling edge states such as empty, loading, or error states.
• Awareness of pragmatic application behavior beyond static visuals.
• Effective communication to explain design decisions and openness to constructive feedback.
• Collaboration skills for working alongside developers.
• Curiosity regarding actual user interactions with products.

Stipend

The internship offers monthly financial support between INR 10,000 and INR 15,000.
