About the internship
Internship Overview
We are seeking native Tamil speakers to participate in a remote data collection internship involving capturing Live Photos of authentic, naturally occurring handwritten Tamil content. This work uses eligible iPhone or iPad devices and contributes vital data to advance AI and language technology development.
Daily Responsibilities
- Photograph handwritten personal notes, reminders, and lists written in Tamil.
- Capture images of handwritten content such as letters, greeting cards, and messages.
- Document handwritten recipes and cooking notes.
- Collect photos of diary and journal entries.
- Photograph handwritten forms, registers, and tables in Tamil.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be a native Tamil speaker aged 18 years or older residing in India.
- Own an iPhone XR or a newer iPhone/iPad supporting Live Photos via rear camera.
- Capable of capturing authentic handwritten Tamil content using Live Photos, excluding AI-generated or contrived material.
- Willing to collect at least 50 approved Live Photos meeting project quality standards.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow data collection and submission guidelines strictly.
- Responsible for concealing or removing any personal or sensitive information before submitting images.
- Available to work from home, start between October 7, 2026, and November 11, 2026, and commit to a two-month duration.
Compensation and Benefits
The internship offers a stipend ranging from INR 3,000 to 7,000 per month. Additional perks include flexible work hours and a certificate upon completion.
