About the Role
We are seeking an inventive and meticulous Social Media Marketing Intern to enhance our digital footprint. Working closely with our Digital Marketing team, you will manage and expand our YouTube and Instagram presence by timely publishing engaging content that is optimized for maximum reach and supported by data insights. This hands-on role is perfect for candidates enthusiastic about gaining firsthand experience in social media management within a growing healthcare brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload and schedule videos, Reels, and Shorts on YouTube and Instagram platforms.
- Create and optimize metadata such as titles, descriptions, tags, and hashtags to increase content visibility.
- Ensure content adheres to platform standards and company branding.
- Maintain correct YouTube video formatting including aspect ratios, end screens, chapters, and interactive card links.
- Curate Instagram post elements including cover frames, alt text, and accessibility captions.
- Oversee day-to-day activities of YouTube and Instagram channels.
- Engage with community through monitoring comments and messages.
- Organize editorial calendars to facilitate regular content posting.
- Analyze performance data with YouTube Studio and Instagram Insights and update metrics accordingly.
- Produce weekly and monthly analytics reports covering views, reach, engagement, follower growth, and watch time.
- Spot emerging social media trends and offer actionable recommendations.
- Provide support for administrative and operational tasks related to channel management.
- Contribute to idea generation and content research efforts.
- Stay informed on the latest platform algorithm updates, features, and social media innovations.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in marketing, mass communication, media studies, or related disciplines.
- Experience or familiarity with YouTube and Instagram from a creator or business usage perspective.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles tailored to social video and content channels.
- Ability to work confidently with data and interpret analytical dashboards.
- Exceptional attention to detail when drafting titles, captions, and metadata.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Self-driven, motivated to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Previous social media account management experience (including personal, freelance, or organizational roles).
- Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite.
- Basic video editing proficiency using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere Rush.
- Familiarity with thumbnail creation using Canva or Adobe Express.
