Internship Responsibilities
- Manage and operate systems for collecting multi-sensor data, including RGB-D cameras, pose tracking, and robot/gripper interface states, ensuring capture of high-quality demonstration and teleoperation datasets.
- Design, sustain, and enhance software for data recording, such as ROS 2 nodes, capture services, and operator utilities developed mainly in Python.
- Create and implement pipelines to verify data quality, focusing on completeness, frame rate consistency, timestamp alignment, sensor dropout handling, and pose accuracy.
- Carry out calibration tasks for cameras, hand-eye coordination, and multi-sensor rigs using OpenCV and maintain precise representations of URDF models, coordinate systems, and transforms.
- Develop pipelines to convert and preprocess raw data into standard training formats like LeRobot, HDF5, MCAP, and ROS bag files.
- Work collaboratively with robotics and machine learning teams to supply dependable, calibrated, and model-ready datasets for development and assessment.
