About the Internship
This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to engage with procurement processes in a leading industrial company based in Pune. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, and supporting inventory planning among other vital procurement tasks.
Internship Responsibilities
- Identify and source suppliers for a variety of materials, goods, and services.
- Gather and assess supplier quotations considering cost, quality, and delivery conditions.
- Create and manage Vendor Codes and Purchase Orders utilizing SAP software.
- Maintain accurate Purchase Information Records and Contract Request Forms (CRFs) within SAP.
- Engage in negotiation with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements.
- Track and ensure timely delivery of materials against purchase orders.
- Collaborate with suppliers, logistics, warehouse, and internal departments to streamline procurement operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation on supplier performance and compliance standards.
- Address and resolve challenges including material shortages, quality issues, and invoicing errors.
- Assist with inventory planning to avoid stock deficits or surpluses.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
- Generate reports to analyze spending patterns and identify potential cost reductions.
- Provide operational support to guarantee procurement activities are completed timely.
