About the internship

About the Internship

This opportunity is with a dynamic startup focused on revolutionizing how companies worldwide find top-tier engineering talent using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and community-driven technical platforms. The role entails building and deploying innovative OSINT workflows to identify elite engineers specializing in operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS). By blending technical reconnaissance with savvy growth hacking, you'll help discover highly skilled professionals in niche industrial tech sectors on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct OSINT talent scouting through advanced search tools, GitHub activity analysis, competitive cyber security challenge leaderboards, and specialized forums to pinpoint leading developers and security researchers in OT, ICS, SCADA, and IoT security domains.
  • Support development and optimization of automated workflows and scripts (using Python and APIs) to enhance recruitment efficiency while ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Design and implement targeted outreach campaigns to engage passive, high-quality engineering candidates on alternative platforms.
  • Perform market research and mapping targeting industrial automation clusters, hacker spaces, and academic groups to identify untapped talent sources worldwide.
  • Conduct human-in-the-loop quality control by assessing technical profiles and portfolios to curate premium shortlists for hiring pipelines.

Candidate Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a technical degree (master's or bachelor's) in instrumentation and control, electrical engineering, mechanics, computer science, mechatronics, or related fields.
  • Strong enthusiasm for understanding the operations of industrial infrastructure including power grids, manufacturing facilities, and control systems.
  • Resourceful and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to research and OSINT, adept at uncovering candidate information beyond conventional resumes.
  • Basic knowledge of Python, Git, or command-line interfaces is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for crafting authentic, effective outreach messages without appearing spammy.

What You Will Do

  • Develop creative OSINT scouting tactics across platforms like GitHub, Discord, Reddit, and capture the Flag leaderboards (e.g., Hack The Box, CTFtime).
  • Contribute to ecosystem growth by mapping AI and cybersecurity markets, initiating growth hacking outreach, and forming strategic partnerships with industry leaders.

Desired Personal Traits

  • Fluency in developer culture and familiarity with open-source community environments.
  • A drive to significantly enhance your resume and expand a professional network of elite industry contacts.
  • A preference for autonomous work style thriving in fast-paced startup settings.

Additional Information and Terms

  • Suitable for master's and high-performing bachelor's students from Tier 1 or Tier 2 engineering colleges in EEE, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, or allied branches. High-agency, motivated bachelor’s candidates with a passion for technology infrastructure are also welcome.
  • Monthly compensation ranges between INR 7,000 to 10,000, with eligibility for performance bonuses.
  • Requires commitment of 4-6 hours daily, entirely remote.
  • Internship duration is one month, with a start window between October 29 and December 3, 2026.
  • Stipend payout depends on meeting minimum performance standards.
