About the internship
Internship Overview
This internship offers an immersive experience in full-stack web development using a modern tech stack that includes Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Tailwind CSS. Selected interns will work remotely with a socially conscious organization devoted to environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack features using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Create responsive user interface components integrated with RESTful APIs.
- Implement backend APIs, manage database operations, and apply basic business logic under senior engineer supervision.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude and Codex to speed up development while critically reviewing auto-generated code.
- Conduct unit and API testing, address software bugs, and perform regression testing.
- Engage in code reviews, maintain Git/GitHub workflows, and contribute to technical discussions.
- Document API features and implementation details comprehensively.
- Own assigned tasks end-to-end, from development through validation and deployment.
- Adhere to engineering standards, architectural guidelines, and established development processes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be available to work remotely for six months starting between September 29, 2026, and November 3, 2026.
- Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Demonstrates fundamental understanding and some hands-on experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience or comfort with both front-end and back-end development is essential.
- Familiar with software development tools such as Git and GitHub, and knows how to utilize AI coding aids like Claude or Codex.
- Has developed at least one project—personal, academic, or professional.
- Strong problem-solving ability, motivation to learn, capacity to work independently, and willingness to take ownership are critical.
- Prior participation in internships, open-source contributions, or having shipped projects will be advantageous.
