Join Tax-O-Smart LLP as a Java Development Intern in Mumbai, where you will contribute to building innovative tax and accounting solutions. This internship focuses on backend development using Java and Spring Boot, emphasizing scalable and secure application design.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Spring Boot framework.
- Implement advanced business logic applying Object-Oriented Programming principles and modern Java concepts.
- Create and expose RESTful APIs that interface smoothly with frontend applications and external systems.
- Utilize advanced Spring Boot features such as Spring Data JPA & Hibernate for object-relational mapping, Spring Security for authentication and authorization (including JWT and OAuth2), exception handling, Aspect-Oriented Programming, caching mechanisms (EhCache, Redis), and task scheduling.
- Optimize application performance through efficient transaction management, connection pooling, and overall enhancements.
- Integrate various database solutions such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Develop and sustain microservices architectures that facilitate inter-service communication.
- Ensure APIs exhibit best practices in security, performance, and effective integration methodologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
- Must be available for a full-time, in-office internship spanning six months, starting between September 11, 2026, and October 16, 2026.
- Should possess relevant knowledge and enthusiasm for backend Java development.
- Preference given to students pursuing Computer Science Engineering or related fields.
- Strong expertise in Java 17+ programming and in-depth experience with Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and inter-service communication.
- Familiarity with frontend integration via frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience using API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of version control (Git), build tools (Maven or Gradle), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
