Internship Overview
This internship offers hands-on experience in electronics engineering, focusing on PCB design and development for industrial camera and embedded systems boards. The position is fully remote, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work with advanced industrial automation technologies integrating AI and computer vision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models within KiCad component libraries.
- Contribute to PCB layout tasks including component placement, routing, and stackup design for compact industrial camera and embedded boards, under experienced supervision.
- Perform electrical rule checks (ERC) and design rule checks (DRC), and generate manufacturing files like Gerbers, drill files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and pick-and-place files, ensuring manufacturability.
- Manage sourcing of components and maintain comprehensive BOMs across multiple vendors.
- Assist in board bring-up activities such as documenting tests, tracking reworks, and recording design revisions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) students or recent graduates.
- Availability to work from home throughout the six-month internship period.
- Ability to commence work between September 22, 2026, and October 27, 2026.
- Possession of relevant skills and interest in electronics engineering and PCB design.
- At least one complete PCB design project (academic or personal/hobby) as evidence of practical experience.
- Preferred familiarity with KiCad software; candidates experienced with Altium or OrCAD and open to transitioning to KiCad will also be considered.
- Additional advantages include understanding high-speed interfaces such as MIPI, USB, LVDS, experience with multilayer (4+ layer) PCB boards, or a portfolio of personal PCB projects.
Stipend and Benefits
- Monthly remuneration ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000.
