About the Internship
This role is designed for interns to gain hands-on experience in the research and development of electrical systems within a clean-tech startup focused on innovative, eco-friendly wind energy solutions. The intern will contribute to the design and analysis of various electrical components such as transformers, inverters, power regulators, generators, and power distribution systems. The position also involves developing and supporting motor control methods including closed-loop and PID tuning for motor drives and actuators, as well as integrating sensors for monitoring position, velocity, and feedback.
In addition, the intern will be responsible for preparing electrical schematics and running simulations to validate system designs. Testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing the performance of electrical and control systems are key activities, alongside collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve cohesive integrated designs. Documentation of technical results, control strategies, and test findings will also be required.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge in electrical systems including transformers, motors, inverters, power regulators, generators/dynamos, and power electronics.
- Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on approach with a keen interest in clean energy and climate-focused technology development.
- Comfortable operating in the dynamic environment of an early-stage startup.
- Familiar with AC/DC circuits, power electronics, inverter technologies, and sensor integration involving position, velocity, and feedback measurements.
- Proficiency with circuit design and simulation software, along with experience in embedded systems such as ESP32 or Arduino platforms.
- Understanding of motor control techniques including PID and closed-loop control methodologies.
- Ability to draft and interpret technical schematics, single-line diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments like multimeters and oscilloscopes for testing and measurement.
Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to Electronics Engineering students who can commit full-time onsite work for a period of 3 months, starting anytime between September 12, 2026, and October 20, 2026. Female candidates seeking to begin or restart their technical careers are particularly encouraged to apply.
Stipend and Perks
