About the Role
Join Vande Mataram Shikshan Sanstha, a Mumbai-based NGO engaged in Education, Health, Sports, and Skills development, for a Community Outreach internship. This position is based in Malad West at Uttkarsh English High School, which fosters holistic student development through academics and extracurricular activities like cricket, football, chess, and kabaddi.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential partners including hotels, residential complexes, offices, schools, and other organizations to support wet-waste segregation and composting initiatives.
- Conduct informative sessions, presentations, and meetings to raise awareness and build community partnerships.
- Maintain and nurture ongoing relationships with both new and existing partners, while organizing lead and partnership data systematically.
- Represent the NGO at various community events, meetings, and activities to promote its environmental efforts.
- Promote the organization's compost and organic manure products to buyers such as nurseries, gardeners, housing societies, and farmers.
- Effectively communicate the positive environmental and social impacts of the organization's work.
- Support awareness campaigns, outreach initiatives, and community engagement projects.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be available for a full-time, on-site internship starting between September 21, 2026, and October 26, 2026.
- Applicants must commit to the full six-month duration of the internship.

- Relevant skills and enthusiasm towards community work are required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Experience or knowledge in sales, marketing campaigns, and community management.
- Capability to prepare reports and maintain organized data.
- Comfortable with MS Office and Google Workspace tools.
- Willingness to travel as required for outreach and meetings.
- Good understanding of community dynamics and engagement strategies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly stipend ranging from ₹2,500 to ₹6,000, divided into ₹2,000-5,000 fixed pay plus ₹500-1,000 incentives.
- Certificate upon completion of the internship.
- Flexible working hours and a five-day workweek.
