About the Role
This position offers an opportunity to manage general procurement activities specifically geared towards IT goods and services within a banking environment located in Abu Dhabi. The contract is fixed for one year with the possibility of renewal. Candidates should bring between two to five years of procurement experience, specifically in commercial and supply chain contexts.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement procurement operations aligned with centralized strategies to meet the organizational goals for goods and services acquisition.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to accurately gather procurement requirements and support business functions accordingly.
- Follow the annual procurement plan while adhering to set guidelines and timelines to deliver high-quality service.
- Assist in planning procurement for both operational needs and project-specific materials.
- Forecast product needs and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock through ongoing review and repeat ordering.
- Identify and select vendors to provide cost-effective and quality goods and services, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Prepare and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) ensuring stakeholder and vendor compliance with deadlines.
- Oversee vendor onboarding processes in compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and other regulatory requirements, including security clearances as necessary.
- Work together with legal teams to establish and maintain robust contract agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure accurate digital records of all contract and vendor information, maintaining vendor databases and procurement profiles for purchasing analysis.
- Resolve or escalate contract discrepancies to mitigate risks and ensure contract adherence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- Hold relevant professional certifications or memberships in procurement or supply chain fields.
- Exhibit commercial acumen with strong analytical thinking capabilities.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to manage internal and external relationships effectively.
