Role Overview

As a Senior Product Engineer at Fin, you will apply your technical expertise to solve real-world customer problems as part of a multidisciplinary product team. This role involves developing both backend and frontend systems while collaborating closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts.

The company is tackling numerous exciting scaling challenges, enhancing a robust platform that includes components such as an intuitive messenger composer, rule matching systems, message deliverability, security measures, application availability, and machine learning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable technical solutions to support products used by tens of millions daily.
• Write Ruby code integrating various AWS services, infrastructure, platform technologies, and SaaS tools that form Fin's backend.
• Deploy changes from day one, contributing to frequent production releases averaging 100 deployments each weekday.
• Leverage industry-leading, AI-enhanced developer tools designed to minimize friction and maximize problem-solving efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in recruitment efforts to build and scale the engineering team effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years professional software engineering experience, preferably with SaaS product development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript; adaptability to learn new languages and tools quickly is valued.
• Demonstrated collaboration experience with product teams and designers, with a history of delivering measurable value to users.
• Hands-on experience working with distributed systems architecture.
