About the Role
Join Ericsson's newly formed ASIC Top-Level Verification team, specializing in the verification of advanced ASICs that power high-performance, complex systems. The ASIC designs are either single-chip or multi-chip modules incorporating hundreds of processor cores, ARM cores, DSPs, custom hardware accelerators, and various high-speed interfaces including Ethernet, CPRI, and PCIe.
As a Senior ASIC Top-Level Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for comprehensive verification efforts, ensuring the functionality, performance, and security of critical ASICs. Your work will be pivotal in developing verification environments and tests that run across SystemC/TLM simulations, RTL simulations, hardware emulations, and silicon validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute power verification strategies and plans.
- Create and maintain power-aware simulation environments.
- Simulate and troubleshoot power-aware test scenarios.
- Support multiple verification areas beyond low power, leveraging your senior expertise.
- Update and enhance testbenches by integrating verification IPs.
Required Expertise
- Solid understanding of power management techniques such as Clock Gating (CG), Power Gating (PG), Multi-Voltage (MV), Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS), and memory power modes.
- Proficient with power intent formats like Unified Power Format (UPF) or Common Power Format (CPF).
- Experience conducting power-aware gate-level simulations (GLS).
- Hands-on experience with formal verification methods targeting power.
- Skilled in RTL debugging using waveform tools from top EDA vendors.
- Proficiency in embedded C software development and debugging with software debuggers.
