Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit all customs documentation related to import, export, and transit operations strictly within deadlines.
- Ensure accurate and timely input of all relevant data into appropriate systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and application of customs regulations, focusing especially on the Union Customs Code (UZK).
- Work towards achieving assigned KPIs and assist in resolving operational challenges.
- Collaborate closely with international suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics firms, and government authorities to guarantee efficient customs processing.
- Verify customs tariffs, values, and proof of origin; provide comprehensive advice to clients about customs rules and requirements.
- Support resolution of complex customs issues while ensuring full legal compliance.
- Identify correct customs tariff numbers and calculate applicable duties and taxes.
- Maintain customs system data and generate reports to monitor and enhance customs operations.
Candidate Profile
- Enthusiastic about developing knowledge in customs and logistics sectors.
- Experience with customs declarations (e.g., ATLAS) and relevant certifications is favorable.
- Strong proficiency in German and English for effective communication within teams, with customs authorities, and global partners.
- Proactive team player who organizes workflows, enhances efficiency, and pursues process excellence.
- Competent in MS Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel) and adaptable to new software tools.
- Committed to adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Growth mindset with dedication to continuous learning and embracing challenges.
