About the Role

YourRetreats is seeking skilled joiners to help build premium, custom-made luxury lodges in a lively and supportive workshop environment. The business is known for producing high-end bespoke lodges where accuracy, workmanship, and attention to detail are central to every stage of production. This is a practical, hands-on position for someone who takes real pride in quality joinery and wants to contribute to exceptional finished spaces.

In this role, you will work with a range of quality materials to create lodge components from the ground up. The work includes structural timber framing as well as internal finishing tasks such as flooring, partitioning, cladding, and fitted features. You will be part of a team that works closely together to deliver luxury builds to exacting standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, fit, and restore wooden structures and fixtures including doors, frames, floors, and ceilings.
• Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastics, and other materials to match project needs.
• Fit cabinets and worktops, repair furniture, and assemble prefabricated components.
• Read and follow technical drawings and blueprints so work matches the required specifications and quality level.
• Keep the workspace tidy, organised, and safe.
• Work effectively with other tradespeople both in the workshop and on other sites as needed.
• Look after tools and equipment so they remain in safe, working condition.

Requirements

• Previous construction industry experience as a joiner.
• Strong understanding of woodworking methods, materials, and tools.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Confident in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, plastics, and related materials.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving ability and analytical thinking.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices, including safe use of power tools and working at height.
