Job Purpose

The Interface Manager oversees all interface activities during the detailed engineering and execution phases at the home office and project site. This hybrid technical and coordination role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination among multiple parties and project packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering coordination and execution of interface requirements through collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, end users, and EPC contractors.
• Schedule and lead regular interface meetings between EPC contractors and company representatives.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Material Handling, and Turnaround Teams to facilitate interface execution.
• Provide consistent updates on project interface progress to the Process/Commissioning Manager, including weekly and monthly reports highlighting potential issues.
• Participate in project interface meetings to ensure timely completion of battery limit tie-ins and scope-related connections.
• Establish and monitor interface point registers to manage technical and physical internal and external interfaces throughout the EPC phase.
• Maintain and control interface point databases, including initiation, correspondence, and agreements, aligned with interdependency schedules.
• Contribute to project scope reviews, implementation strategies, execution plans, and construction strategies.
• Take responsibility for interface deliverables such as interconnections with existing Borouge facilities and participate in Interface HAZOP reviews to ensure compliance.
• Organize interface meetings for multidisciplinary coordination and finalize interface point registers promptly.
• Collaborate with FEED/EPC contractor interface teams and other stakeholders to track and manage documentation and provide timely feedback to avoid schedule delays.
• Serve as the liaison with Operations, Maintenance, and Integrity Teams to identify key interfaces between new projects and existing brownfield facilities, especially during shutdown periods.
• Maintain databases and review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for various systems.
• Ensure timely preparation and company review of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Maintain interface engineering document review plans to promote productivity.
• Support performance evaluations through regular KPI assessments and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Review interface-related concession requests, assess technical impact and justification, and secure necessary endorsements.
• Manage design change processes by overseeing multi-discipline impact assessments and registering necessary changes.
• Conduct regular meetings with discipline counterparts to coordinate activities and resolve technical problems professionally based on specifications and actual conditions.
• Communicate discipline-specific updates and concerns routinely to the Process/Commissioning Manager.
• Lead interface execution efforts to meet project performance goals and continually monitor pre-commissioning/commissioning schedules, ensuring timely procedural reviews and updates to avoid slippage.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (4 years) from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Minimum of 20 years' relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries, including at least 5 years in a similar role for international projects.
• Preferred experience includes 5+ years working on ADNOC projects within the GCC region and exposure to both brownfield and offshore projects.
• Experienced with multiple packages in FEED and EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of project execution and applicable engineering standards.
