The position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, part of Minor Hotels—a global hotel operator and investor boasting a portfolio of over 530 properties across 50+ countries including Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America. Job Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including utensils, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and work areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials in designated zones.
• Operate dishwashing machinery efficiently and ensure its proper functionality.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning agents and supplies and report any shortages promptly.
• Provide assistance to kitchen and service teams during buffet or banquet setup and breakdown.
• Adhere strictly to the hotel’s safety and sanitation guidelines, including correct handling of chemicals.
• Organize and stack clean dishes and transport them to appropriate storage areas.
• Handle kitchen equipment with care to prevent damage or breakage.
• Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks, such as oven cleaning and grease trap maintenance.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Prior experience as a steward or dishwasher in a hotel or restaurant environment is advantageous.
• Basic awareness of proper kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Physical fitness to manage lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team, supported by a positive attitude and effective communication skills.
