Overview
Viridian Associates is seeking skilled Workforce Associates with a comprehensive understanding of the NHS and the wider healthcare workforce environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute hands-on consulting expertise across a diverse range of healthcare organisations and initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to assess and tackle workforce-related issues.
- Analyze workforce data to identify challenges and propose actionable recommendations.
- Support the implementation of sustainable workforce solutions tailored to client needs.
- Engage with various clients either as part of a larger team or independently.
- Manage workload, deliverables, and client interactions autonomously.
- Conduct workshops, lead meetings, and facilitate discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
- Develop and present detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations effectively.
- Foster trustworthy relationships while adapting to diverse organisational settings.
Desired Experience and Skills
Essential qualifications include a minimum of two years' experience within the NHS, particularly in workforce planning, transformation, and optimisation. Candidates must have competence in:
- Evaluating workforce structures, skill mixes, and forecasting future workforce needs.
- Utilising data and insights for workforce analysis and strategic guidance.
- Engaging with senior clinical, operational, HR, and workforce leaders.
Additional beneficial skills include:
- Expertise in workforce modelling, demand and capacity evaluations, and establishment reviews.
- Experience leading workforce cost reduction initiatives.
- Leadership in organisational change, service redesign, and workforce transformation projects.
- Professional qualifications relevant to workforce roles.
Working Conditions
This is primarily a flexible and remote role requiring occasional travel to client locations based on project needs. Candidates should be proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, combining strategic insight with practical execution in a client-facing context.
