Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Tenant Research Director leads a team of Tenant Research Managers and their staff, ensuring delivery of precise commercial real estate data to clients. This role holds accountability for data accuracy, research oversight, and managing stakeholder relationships within the designated market or region. It demands strong collaboration internally and externally, leveraging market knowledge to enhance data quality, client relations, revenue, and retention.

As a mentor and leader, this position fosters a high-achieving team environment through clear guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Promoting a culture of trust, responsibility, and cooperation, the director aims to improve engagement, retain talent, and raise performance levels through consistent communication, feedback, and structured management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership within the Research Headquarters to uphold performance and professional standards
  • Manage regional activities to optimize team productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure timely and accurate data capture, validation, and publication utilizing all relevant information sources
  • Enhance data coverage, precision, and depth by applying innovative research methods and strong market connection
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients and industry stakeholders through events, meetings, and collaboration with Sales teams
  • Work closely with Sales to synchronize client engagement and market insights
  • Recruit, coach, and develop Tenant Research Managers to build consistent team capability

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business management, real estate, economics, finance, or related fields
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing large teams in complex settings with results-driven collaboration
  • Ability to communicate and implement corporate strategy with sound financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Highly results-focused, able to prioritize and achieve objectives under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving, research, analytical skills with attention to detail and strategic thinking
  • Experience mentoring and fostering professional development in others
  • Confident with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
