Job Overview
This position is suited for engineers specialized in data centre infrastructure who excel not only in conceptual design but also in delivering infrastructure that is built, commissioned, and operated on a large scale. You will be part of the Infrastructure Solutions division focusing on prefabricated data centre solutions, representing the comprehensive capabilities of the organization to customers and translating their requirements into integrated, high-quality data centre infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and present solution concepts from customer requirements using approved standards and architectures.
- Create technical proposals, detailed solution documentation, and Bills of Material for client presentations.
- Provide technical support during presales activities including customer engagements, clarifications, and presentations.
- Apply company reference architectures, redundancy models, and design guidelines in all solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with portfolio standards, cost parameters, and delivery timelines; escalate deviations appropriately.
- Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, controls, and services specialists.
- Manage smooth transition of solutions into execution phases.
- Maintain awareness of quality standards and risks; ensure compliance with technical and customer requirements.
- Identify, document, and communicate technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies for projects.
- Support validation of designs against applicable standards, such as Tier intents and redundancy philosophies.
- Contribute lessons learned and continuous improvement suggestions to design standards and tools.
- Continuously enhance technical and commercial knowledge of the company's offerings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 6-8 years of experience in presales, design, or solution engineering within data centre or infrastructure sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of power, cooling, and infrastructure systems relevant to data centres.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Capability and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
